what is a doula?
The word doula comes from the ancient Greek and means a woman who serves. It is now used to refer to a trained and experienced professional who provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support to a mother before, during, and just after birth; or who provides emotional and practical support during the postpartum period.

Initial Consultation = FREE
This meeting happens at your home or a location of your choosing. It is and is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. You can ask questions, discuss your birth vision, concerns, priorities, etc. There is no obligation to commit to me at this meeting - in fact I encourage mamas to interview several different Doulas!
Basic Doula Package = $500
*I truly believe that EVERY woman deserves to have a Doula support her during her birth. If you are not able to afford my fee, please contact me to discuss options.

Encouragement, reassurance & continuous physical presence.
Assistance gathering & researching info about labor, including options & non-medical advice.
Positioning, massage, breath work, relaxation techniques, comfort measures, & other non-pharmacological pain relief measures, including: hydrotherapy, Rebozo, acupressure, heat & ice.
Role Modeling, encouragement & reassurance.
